Geraldine Reynolds TEACHER

Geraldine couldn't resist Yellow Brick Road's unique formula as Literacy, Humanities and the Arts have been her specialisms in over fifteen years of working with children and young people from EYFS right through to school leavers.

As a primary school teacher for the past nine years, Geraldine has focussed on working in inner-city schools. This has consolidated her opinions on the importance of oracy and of bringing practical experiences into the process of getting children to write which is what YBR specialises in. Geraldine has been a Literacy Lead teacher for the past four years, focussing on cross-curricular writing and performance poetry, which she adores! Geraldine was also a representative teacher on the English Curriculum Board at a preparatory school in London. She has also been a school Humanities Lead.

Geraldine is incredibly excited to become the newest member of the YBR team!

She also has DDI and DDE ISTD Tap and Modern teaching qualifications. She has experience working within many different primary schools. She currently teaches dance classes for her local dance school to children aged 2-18 in various styles such as jazz, tap, contemporary and conditioning. She has taught at this school for around a decade, starting voluntarily around the age of 14.

She also has experience of working within a clinical environment having worked in the operating theatres at Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust and gaining a Level 2 NVQ in Perioperative Care, but she is very keen to dedicating all of her time into teaching and gaining more experience, meeting new children and having lots of fun with the lovely ladies at YBR.
